Casting Announcements

May 2017 - Maria will be a part of "C&C", an abridged version of Handel's "Guilio Cesare in Egitto"

July 2016 - Maria has been cast in the upcoming fantasy feature film "Kingdom: Fall of Illandriel", due to start principal photography in 2017. For more info go to their website.

May 2016 - Maria has wrapped filming on the feature film "Flux".


March 2016 - Maria, in collaboration with director and award-winning theatre maker Kolbrún Björt Sigfúsdóttir, creates the show "(Can this be) Home?" to tour the UK later this year.

March 2016 - Maria has been cast as Madeira in "Boundless: The Prelude", a stand alone prequel to the series of the same name. Filming to commence in April. 


January 2016 - Maria has been cast as DI Leah Bishop in the upcoming feature film "Burns Night", the third installment of Caledonia created and directed by Amy Hoff of Cult Classic.


December 2015 - Maria has been cast as Ruth in Harold Pinter's "The Homecoming"


September 2015 - Maria has been cast as Elisabeth in the upcoming feature film "Good to be back", principal filming has commenced.


July 2015 - Principal filming continues for Maria on "FLUX"


June 2015 - Maria has been cast in the short play "Double Fantasy" to be performed at Tron Theatre, Glasgow.


May 2015 - Maria will be participating in this year's 48 Hour Film Project in Edinburgh.

May 2015 - Maria is currently filming "Reflections of a Private Eye", a film noir with an unexpected twist.


May 2015 - Maria returns to the stage in "The Dreaming".


May 2015 - Maria finished filming "FLUX" which will be released later in 2015.


April 2015 - Maria will be appearing in "The Golden Goblet", a film by Vic Lock and Climb The Ivy Films.


March 2015 - Maria has just finished filming on the short film "Souled".


March 2015 - Filming begins on The Last Equinox, the first film by Scottish company Barbarian and Scallywag Productions. Maria plays Rebecca Ambrose.


February 2015 - Maria returns to Acting Up! with her new play Welcome, my name is which she will star in alongside Spanish actress Marta da Silva.


February 2015 - Maria has been confirmed in the role of Linda in Shock Theatre Company's summer production of Blood Brothers.


November 2014 - Maria's first play SAGA returns to the stage for one night only at Acting Up! She plays Lianna alongside Scottish actor James Robson.


October 2014 - Maria plays Alice in CherryMan Media's 48-hour film project No Degrees of Separation which won the award for Best Score.


August 2014 - Maria will play Sophia Robertson in Isabel Wright's new drama Blind Eye which will tour Glasgow, Edinburgh and London in August and September.

May 2014 - Tron Theatre's Mayfesto is in full swing and Maria will appear as Captain Watkin Tench and Svensson in the flagship production of Our Country's Good directed by Gerry Muulgrew.


January 2014 - Maria will be standing on the Globe stage performing in one of Shakespeare's greatest and most complicated plays All's Well That Ends Well as Helena. This is her London debut and we hope for a speedy return!


June 2013 - Maria starts filming The Glasgow Story, a webseries by Bugsy Productions. She will guest star in three episodes as Amanda. The series will be available on Blip.tv


May 27-28th, 2017 - Maria will be at DonQuest both days. See if you can find her in the crowds!

September 24-25th, 2016 - Maria will appear at the MCM Scotland Comic Con on SUNDAY ONLY! 

September 15-18th, 2016 - Maria and the cast and crew of "Burns Night" are special guests at the HawaiiCon 2016 which celebrates 50 years of Star Trek.

July 10th, 2016 - Maria is an attendee at the Film Industry Scotland launch night.

May 27-29th, 2016 - Maria will appear at the MCM London Comic Con as part of the Vidfest UK. Times for the panel will be announced closer to the time.

September 11th, 2016 - Maria and the cast and crew of Caledonia are guests at TV and Movie Fest II in Peterborough


February 27th, 2016 - Maria will make her debut con-apperance at Capital Sci-Fi Con 2016 in Edinburgh. She will join the cast of Caledonia on the Main Stage at 15.00.


October 2015 - Maria will be in Sweden for her BA graduation.


August 2015 - It's time for the largest arts festival in the world; the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! Maria will be working with the Street Events throughout the month, can you spot our lady in red?


February 2015 - Maria receives her BA in Theatre Studies from Gothenburg University. Congratulations!


January 2015 - Sch...  Maria joins Glasgow's newest and most secretive improv group: The Improv Ninjas.

January 2015 - Maria becomes one of the inaugural members of the Tron 100 initiative.


October 2014 - Maria graduates from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a MA in Classical and Contemporary Text. Congratulations!


June 2014 - Maria has been awarded the scholarship by David Petterssons Kulturstiftelse for her work and academic achievements.

November 11th, 2017 - Maria performs in "C&C" at St Eskils in Stockholm

May 27-28th, 2017 - "The Last Equinox" gets its English premiere at DonQuest! Tickets can be purchased here.

May 9th, 2017 - Maria will be performing alongside Emelie Lindquist and Erik Henriksson at this year's Red Cross Charity Gala in Nyköping, Sweden. 

March 16th, 2017 - "The Last Equinox" screens at the Glasgow Short Film Festival as part of Blueprint - with a brilliant lineup from Scotland's up and coming filmmakers why not spend a night at the movies?

September 14th, 2016 - It is the world premiere screening of "The Last Equinox" in Glasgow! Sadly Maria won't be able to attend but she sent a message to everyone on the premiere night.

August 5-27th, 2016 - Fonmanu Creative's "In Utero" takes on the Edinburgh Fringe. You can hear Maria in the narratives interspersed throughout the show.

July 8th, 2016 - Take a trip to the 40s with the world premiere of "Reflections of a Private Eye" at Swing Ltd in Glasgow! 

July 2nd, 2016 - "Boundless" and "Boundless: The Prelude" premiers at the beautiful Grosvenor Cinema in Ashton Lane.

June 16-17th, 2016 - Maria will be a part of the inaugural Tron 100 festival at Tron Theatre, Glasgow. She will appear in "(Can this be) Home?" on Thursday and "Thrae Sisters and Thur Sisters" on Friday.

June 1-2nd, 2016 - "(Can this be) Home?" will be a part of the Plymouth Fringe this year.

May 20th, 2016 - Maria will perform at the After Work at Hesselby Slott in Stockholm.


March 9-12th, 2016 - "The Homecoming" opens at Govanhill Baths as the inaugural production of their new theatre studio.


December 14th, 2015 - Improv Ninjas are guests of honour at Scottish Screenwriter's Christmas festivities. Join them for an evening of workshops and who knows, maybe you'll get a taster from their repertoire.


November 28th, 2015 - Maria will perform in "All the World's a Stage", an evening of monologues and duologues from Shakespeare at the Old Hairdressers in Glasgow. Click here for more info.


October 21st, 2015 - Improv Ninjas take the stage in Broadcast, Glasgow.


September 22rd, 2015 - Maria and the Improv Ninjas will perform at Cathouse Rock Club in Glasgow as part of the fundraiser for the TV drama "Boundless".

July 23rd, 2015 - Maria will appear in George Docherty's "Double Fantasy" at Tron Theatre, Glasgow at 7.30pm.


May 29th, 2015 - The Improv Ninjas take on the Avant Garde once more at 8pm.


May 28th, 2015 - "Hell is Round the Corner" will be screened at the Cameo in Edinburgh at 7pm as part of the 48 Hour Film Project.


May 19th, 2015 - Maria returns to the stage in "The Dreaming" as part of Wee Theatre's Glasgow. Tickets can be found here.


April 11th, 2015 - Maria will appear in the fundraiser for Blood Brothers "Shockfest Showcase" at The Fort Theatre, Glasgow.
